About "Lake Ediza"
Lake Ediza is nestled under the Minarets in the Ansel Adams Wilderness on the eastern side of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. This incredibly beautiful area was previously named the Minarets Wilderness, before the name was changed in 1984 to the Ansel Adams Wilderness, in honor of America's father of landscape photography. I took this picture in October of 1989 and the conditions were ideal. The Sierra's had just received their first dusting of snow and the various grasses and small shrubs had turned a magnificent golden color.
