About "Gandalf"
One of my favorite aspects of photographing the canyon country of the Southwestern United States is the opportunity to capture the "reflective lighting" which can be so prevalent in this area of the country. This image is a classic example. I used my 250mm telephoto lens to "get close" to this stunning setting from the rim of Bryce Canyon National Park. The early morning sunlight was reflecting off the sandstone slopes below me, which illuminated the mystical hoodoos, and presented me with the opportunity to capture this remarkable image.
The name I have given to this Fine Art Print was derived completely from my own imagination.
